Way back when my girls weren't still in strike-mode, I'd make the surplus into a big tray of deviled eggs and take them to Coffee Hour at Church. It's been a while and a few people are starting to ask. These ladies'd better get busy again or they're gonna get excommunicated!

I sell mine, have some regular customers, and a few who will pick up any extras.

Here eggs cannot be sold/donated anywhere except at the ‘farm gate’ - meaning we can only sell them on our property. If one wishes to sell or donate off the property (ie: farmers market) then the eggs would have to be inspected by a licensed govt inspector.

This is the ensure that if there were any health issues the eggs could be tracked to the farm originated from.

20!!! :eek: 15 in the nests, 5 in the "hidden" nest in the front yard. Gonna have to keep them locked up for a while to "home" them to the nests. I think it's the Ameraucana pullets that are "laying out."

Similar here but you can also sell door-to-door or at local markets without registration, provided you keep fewer than 50 birds.

I'd have to be a registered egg producer and packer if I wanted to donate eggs to the local food bank or community fridge.
