Ok i have some broilers and i hesrd from someone else that once they start crowing you should butcher them i was wondering if they are right becasue mine are 4-5 weeks and are starting to crow but they're still really small.

I think that broilers are supposed to be ready around 8 weeks with the right feed. Starting to crow already? whoa. I thought I heard something from mine, which are about 8 weeks now. They're no broilers, though. Have you searched meatbirds etc for previous threads that might give you a more definite time?

Your birds should be ready around 7-8 week mark. That's about the time that they get so heavy that their legs can't support them anymore. I started mine when I noticed that happening & got the others before that happened. Our birds were easily 8-10 lbs at that point. Couple were little bigger than 10 even.

Anywhere from 6-8 weeks. Depends on how big you want them. There is also a gambling factor as you wait you take the chance they could just die.

My cornish rocks are seven/eight weeks and 6lb pullets and 7.5 cockerels. Should I feed cracked corn for the last two weeks? And how large can I grow them. Is 10lbs reasonable? Thanks
