Hello all- just wondering if anybody has used Gabbard Farms? I am a newbie- havent had a chicken in 20 years! I just hatched a 2 Ameruacana -1 blue I think, 1 wheaten- and 5 Orps -3 buff, 1 blue or splash and 1 black- I think:) -. They are healthy and cute, but I would love to know if anybody has adult birds from Gabbard. Should I prepare myself for ugly girls and boys:) I could care less just wondering. My friend and I split them and adore them! I have a dozen Orp. eggs from beauties on order, now that I had one successful hatch. Would love to hear from other Gabbard owners!

I ordered Red Silkie Eggs from them. Here are some pics. Pet Quality but I dont care.

I had 80% hatch rate last year from their shipped eggs, I wish every egg seller packed eggs so well and send them, fresh, fertile and viable like Julie.

Seems that some competitors are trying to knock Gabbard Farms down.

Hardly...just saying buyer beware and be sure and ask lots of questions. There may be issues that some of us are aware of that you know nothing about.

I agree I wouldn't be happy if 100% of my eggs hatched if I didn't get the quality I payed for.

My daughter got eggs from Julie and was very pleased with the birds. Out of 8 eggs 6 developed and 3 hatched. They are nice looking Golden Sebrights with correct feathering. I wouldn't call them show quality or anything but she feels like she got what she paid for. They were and are very healthy. I think she'd be repeat customer given the right circumstance.

I got a dozen gold cuckoo marans eggs from her right before christmas. They arrived in tact but the PO took somewhere in the realm of 15 days to get them to me

Needless to say, they had gotten pretty shook up and they also froze before I got them. I tried, but obviously nothing developed. I contacted julie and she is shipping me a new set of eggs for the cost of shipping to replace the ones the PO did in. I think that is excellent customer service. I did not pay a lot for the marans eggs, and I don't care if they are "Show quality" birds or not. I think they are very nice to look at

The egg color was really nice and dark too, considering it was Christmas time! Just my experience
