So what is the correct shade of Buff?

Hi Jim, this is a very nice picture.
Very nice color on your Buffs too.
Greetings Arie

Say if you have a Self Buff OEG line and wish to enrich the color would you use a Pumpkin OEG(Rich Orange)? the are the closest thing I have seen to Self colored birds, meaning they are not your normal Ginger Red or Black tailed buff bird, most of them have no trace of eumelanin... would you use them if your buff are getting to faded?

I believe this boy lacks any pheomelanin Dilution genes and could improve any OEG buff line suffering from pheomelanin fading..

When needed I use a bird that is good in color and even buff. Buff to the skin and one or two tones darker then the birds I have.
I should do it step by step and beside my own lines. Not to much tones darker because the chicks wouldn't be even in color.
