This is the February Egg Swap. Sign ups are open until 11 February 2012 at 12:00 noon CST.

I want everybody to feel that they can join and that the eggs will be sent. This is why a deadline is set.

IF YOU DON'T THINK YOU CAN GET YOUR EGGS OUT ON TIME, DO NOT SIGN UP!

Please make sure that you are ready for eggs when you join this swap. It is not possible to wait for your incubator to get empty.

There have been problems in the past with people not receiving, or not informing 'us' that they have received, their eggs.

Please people, make sure you post here when you receive your eggs!!

There were a few problems with previous swaps, but for the most part, everything has went well.

Disclaimer
This swap is not endorsed by BYC (owner, website, staff, etc.). The BYC Staff is not responsible and will not mediate if something goes "wrong" or a deal goes "bad". If you choose to participate in a swap, it is best to know who you are swapping with and not to swap more than you can afford to lose. The BYC Staff is sensitive because some past swaps have not worked out. We want our members to feel comfortable having fun with these and other social interactions, but please keep in mind that there were issues with some organizers and swappers not following through on their commitments in the past. You must be 18 to participate.

Hmmmm, I am in too.

Ummm are EE's considered pure or mixed? All the birds came from blue eggs but are not standard colors.

Is anyone swapping Guinea eggs? I'm probly goin to sit this swap out. I need to stop setting eggs long enough to set up my new (used) cabinet-style incubator. That and I'm running out of brooder room, need to build a emu brooder soon, have 2 eggs that will hopefully hatch around Valentines. ;)

I've seen where some people have started getting eggs. I think I may have gotten my first egg today. I have 2 chicken hens in with my guinea trio and I found an off white egg today. It does have a thick shell. I set it on top of a 2 ft tall cage and it rolled off to the ground, and it has a huge spider web crack, but it didn't bust. :) I'm hoping who ever laid it will lay again tomorrow, I will be home all day.

Guinea eggs look much differant than a chicken egg. They are pink/brown with speckles and are very pointy on one end.

It wasn't really pointy, and its shell is rough, that's why I not sure if its a guinea egg or not. I have a red shoulder yokohama in there, she squats when I walk in the pen ( I don't have a chicken rooster in there) and I also have a mixed hen in there, whose hatched from a cream colored egg, but I don't know dad's "egg color", I think brown. The yoko should lay white eggs, I have a friend that had a few guineas, and their eggs where almost triangular, but they didn't have spots. Neither of the chicken pullets combs are bright red, I'm so confused. :/ that's why I'm hoping whoever layed yesterday lays again tomorrow.
