I'm pretty sure one of my 4 girls has fowl pox. At first I just thought she had been pecked a few times but now I see she has black scabs forming above her eyes, on her beak, waddle, and comb. I'm a new chicken mommy so I have no idea what to do! Any help would be very much appreciated.

That's fowl pox. Mosquitos carry the virus. Eliminate any standing water, except waterers of course. The disease will run it's course and go away on its own in a few weeks. Some people put black shoe polish on the lesions to help heal and dry the lesions up. I've used iodine for the same purpose but DONT get it in the eyes or nostrils. Egg production will slow, but the eggs are safe to eat.

I thought as much. Thank you for confirming though, I was starting to freak out. Will the other 3 get this as well?

And to silverfox, thank you! She is my favorite one from our flock :)
