With my chickies!
Today, we finally got our chicks!!!!!!!!!!! My sister (a.k.a. UnderHisWings), Papa, and I went to our Aun'ts house where she gave us eight adorable little fuzzy guys and their mama!

Sadly, we can't name them until our other sisters come back from a trip... *sigh*

But anyway, we will still be having some wonderful weeks ahead of us! :D I feel so scared that we're going to do something wrong with them, but I know that they are fairly hardy little guys and that you all are there for help! :D So you probably want to know the breeds.....
1. The mother is an Australorp
2. Two chicks are Buff Orp./ Australorp mix
3. The six others could be either full Buff Orp, Ameraucana/ Orp mix, or RIR/ Orp mix. Hehehe, still not quite sure yet... :p

Sometime soon, we will be getting more chicks to put in with these guys (and hopefully girls! :p) from our local farm store probably.... We're wanting to have probably 10-12 hens when they're all grown up, so since half of the current chicks will most likely be roos, we'll be getting six to eight more!!!! I love chicken math!

Hehehe... The more the better is what I say! So, I'm sure that sometimes in the near future you'll be hearing more of these little peeps and the ones that will come, but for now... -that's it folks! :D

How fun! Nothing like going to the Aunt's house and bringing home chicks!

You got that right! :D More pics.... :p
The last picture is so cute! (Well, all of them are to me, but anyway...) It looks like the mommy bird is a hotel and the chicks are looking out the windows! :D

Okay, so I have a question... Is it OK if we put the new chicks in with the others. Will they be fine with each other? Will Miss Henny (the mama hen) be OK with them?

Miss Henny will protect them, so I think they would be safe.
