We had chicken the other day so chicken soup she was two.

Old hens have nice yellow fat on them-- good for making schmaltz.
What do you use schmaltz for? Frying?
Yes!
I have used duck fat too. Both are good for frying potatoes. I did see an Alton Brown show where He said that Schmaltz is good as a Shmeer on Bagels.
Hey Old Folks had business in town had to attend to but alive and well.
Good morning, just got back from the vet. Our dog , Mini had pyrometra and had to be spayed after antibiotics didn't help. She quit eating, and threw up a lot. It was pitiful. After she got spayed, they needed to keep her there an extra day. We visited her, and took in bone broth, chicken, and rice. She ate 2 bites, drank a bit of broth. She is hubby's dog, and i had no idea how much i love her. Was so worried about her! She looks so skinny! Cooking pork feet for her today.
I am glad you brought her home that particular surgery is very hard on them.
