I put the last one for Naked Necks and WFBS. I would just beware anything with feathered feet if it is muddy.

Stay away from feather footed breeds if you have a lot of mud FYI

I chose Silver Laced Wyandottes, because they are pretty, and lay well.

I would have chosen barred rock. They are indeed the best breed! They come in a variety of colours though, so you can have all Plymouth Rocks that have different traits.

I personally like the silver pencilled colouring!

I absolutely love my barred rocks, but I also love a variety and three barred rocks, 1 duck I will also get in September, and a Buff Rock just doesn't have a variety. I would get a duck egg, and four brown eggs of different browns.

There are many different colours, and they don't all look the same.
