Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

You bet! In case you didn't see it there's a link to this water bath canning PDF on the dill bean page.

I have all the snow pea vines pulled out and drying out by the garden. There are quite a few pods left that I'm planning to get seeds from. And I got a lot of fresh dill heads picked and in the freezer, and mature dill heads drying so I can get some dill seeds.

Not so good news, I lost a chicken yesterday evening to a car on the road. The guy that hit it knocked on the door to let me know, which was nice of him. I told him not to worry about it. Guess my chickens won't be free ranging any more.
Ah, that is sad. Must have been one of the young ones too. They'd be the ones who don't have experience.

No, it was one of the New Hampshire teenagers, around 4.5 months old. I live just over a hilltop and cars coming over probably don't have a great view of the road. And some of them drive a lot faster than the speed limit.

That's one of the young ones to me. Thinking your old gals are too savvy by now. Anyway, no matter who it was, it's sad. I agree, driver probably didn't have a chance to stop.
