Some people got in trouble for having chickens in the city (The Village in OK City) and we offered to take the remaining chicken. Unfortunately, it seems to be a rooster and we have two already who have to be kept in separate ends of the coop - with no more ends to offer this fellow. So I need to place some ads to find him a home but I don't know what he is. Anyone know? It could be a perfectly common breed, just not one we've had. He's a large fellow and extremely handsome.
He has a kind of weak crow - much deeper than our little bantam roosters' crows - and has feathers down the sides of his legs. He has 4 toes/foot. Anything else I can tell you? Thanks.

I'll post him in craigslist or freecycle and try to find him a good home (the rooster, not the hubby - hmm, maybe I should rethink that, ha ha). He's really beautiful and I appreciate knowing now what he is so I can describe him correctly.
