I have 1 bantam roo that is either a Dutch or a Japanese. I bought him from a local feed store that orders from Ideal and they sell both. How can I tell if it is a Dutch or a Japanese? I would like to order some of the breed I have this spring, but I am not sure which it is!

OK, the wind has settled and I got some pictures of the little rooster I have.
Here is his portfolio:

His best bud...a Silkie of the same age.

BTW....is that Silkie considered to be a red???
Thanks!

He has red earlobes, so that means he is a Japanese? I am trying to learn as he is my first and only so far. I have been told he is a blue but he is older and has gotten darker. Still blue???
Thanks again!

Yours is a Japanese Bantam I have 3 Roosters that look just like him 2 with the same coloring.

I believe yours is called a Grey Japanese But i could be wrong, he looks like mine and I dont know what to call mine.

Mine came from a Black Mottled Jap hen and a Black Tailed White Jap Rooster
