Frou-frou needed her nightly visit to the house tonight. She didn't just want it, she needed it. She made that clear by pacing at the gate to the chicken run and honk-honk-honking away until I came over. As has become the norm, she hopped out through the gate as I opened it, and before I had a moment to object, she was waiting at my feet to be picked up and toted into the house.
So I picked up the Big Fuzzy bird and we had our visit, then returned to the outside world. Frou-Frou is a pretty heavy girl, and my arm was tired, so I put her on the ground to follow me. I must have been kidding, of course, for that would mean Frou'f would have to walk through snow! But I eventually coaxed her along, and afterward she followed with little complaint.
All the way from the porch...
...Down my trampled snow path...
...Onto the stepping stones...
...Stop for a glam shot (I mean, if you've got it, why not flaunt it?)...
...And then through the gate to the chicken run.
I almost had her follow me to the aviary to lock the Guineas in their coop for the night, but she must have decided that that path had MUCH too much snow in it. We wouldn't want a girl getting her feet cold, now would we?
