can anyone reccommend a good muscovy breeder for eggs?

I hope I'm not out of my bounds by posting this in this section, I did read the rules. Just trying to get an idea of some websites to check out. looking for reputable muscovy breeder.
 
Where are you located? You might be able to find some breeders in your area.
Are there any certain colors or traits you want? That may help narrow your search.
I breed and raise muscovy ducks. Mine are mainly bred for broodiness, size (for meat), temperament, foraging ability and show qualities.
I have a variety of colors including black, white, chocolate, buff, lavender, blue, blue fawn, and silver. I have solids, solid white headed, pied and barred in most colors.
 
any chance you would be willing to ship? i live in western PA. really what I am looking for at this point is probably started ducklings, as with further research I have found out that the eggs don't ship very well. I would pay extra for the shipping if necessary. blue fawns, chocolates, lavenders and blacks are mainly what I'm interested in. boy am I having a hard time finding anything! I found a GREAT resource (duckopolis.com) with many beautiful muscovies but they are located in canada and can't ship to the US!!

How many are you looking to get? I generally only ship orders of 10 or more but we can work out the details through email :) And mine are NPIP
 
That's wonderful! I have a couple more questions, but I think at this point I'm going to want about 20. I don't know if you have them all separated by color and I can just pick a certain number of each, or how you do that. Also was wondering if you sex them at all. And finally if it would be possible to give them the baby wing cl pping since I wouldn't get them in time. I just have no idea how big your operation is or how much time you have on your hands. Let me know what you think about any of that, but definitely count me in for may! I'm very excited! And I'm flexible too if you can't do certain things with the ducklings I understand it is a lot to ask. Thanks again!

No problem! I can't clip their wings as ducklings since they won't be feathered when you get them. But when they do get their feathers, I'd be happy to give you instructions on how to do that :)

As for colors, I have 3 black and white hens (2 are barred), 1 buff hen, 1 blue pied hen, 1 chocolate hen, and 1 lavender barred hen. My drakes are blue pied with black caruncles and lavender barred. They are all together so it's kind of a "you get what you get" as far as coloring goes. But they throw some gorgeous colors and I could certainly do my best to send you a variety :)

Oh, and I sell them as straight run only, but would be willing to sex them and put leg bands on them if you want. I just can't sex them to send all females as that would leave me with too many males which is why I sell them as straight run only. But like I said, I would be more than happy to sex them so you at least know what you are getting :)
 
If you could sex them that would be fantastic. As far as the wing clipping goes I was under the impression that you could do a permanent wing clipping to the day olds. I know how to do the beauty clip when their blood feathers grow in, that's what my hens have :), but don't worry about it I'll just clip em later. A variety pack so to speak would be great! As many solids as you can get or close to solid, barred is fine too or whatever really. I just think the solids are gorgeous. But my two current hens are pied and i love them and think they're beautiful too! Keep me posted on the hatching and everything! Can't wait!

And I didn't know you could clip wings at a day old. If you have a link to that I would definitely be interested!
