Im only 14 and I am trying to keep my lil orpeys from not dying my favorite is so thin

All of mine, but one made it and after worming and a good dusting with 7 dust are looking much better. I went with the Safeguard for goats. Next time I'm going to go with Ivermectin in a few months. Mine seem to really be effected by all the rain we are having.

Stick with the safeguard. The money you'll spend on buying ivermectin would be better off spent on valbazen...trust me. Stick with sevin dust also.

Thanks so much! How often should I treat with both. I'm in North GA a.d have been tild all the rain we have gotten is causing parasites to be especially bad this year. I bought tbe Wazine but didn't use it after reading your post about it.

You can alternate as you see fit. Since you're getting alot of rain, consider worming every 6-8 months. I've wormed every 3 months, sometimes sooner depending how wet the soil is.

We are in North Georgia too. Ellijay. And having worm issues as well. The Vet spun poop and found positive for round worms. I am trying to acquire a med called Flubenvet. But seems to only be sold in U.K. So, in the mean time I am in a quandry as what is the best plan of attack to deworm my chooks of roundworms.

What did you choose to do? Kelley

I use fenbendazole 10% (Safeguard or Panacur, liquid or paste) at 50mg/kg (0.50ml per 2.2 pounds) by mouth and repeat in ten days. You will find it in the cattle, goat and horse sections of most feed stores, it comes labeled for different animals in different sized tubes and bottles, but it's all the same, you just need to pick a size that works best for you.

Blue Ridge here so I'm just up the road from you. I used Safeguard for goats for the eorms and 7dust for the mites. I put some of the eggs that were laid after the wormer in the incubator yesterday. I'll let y'all know how they do. TSC should have Safeguard. If not Browns by the railroad tracks in Blue Ridge is where I got mine. If you come up here be prepared for chick overload. They have a tone and its always hard for me to leave with out two or three.
