I have a homemade foam cooler incubator. I have the temp holding steady between 99 and 101. the problem I have is the humidity. if I put a damp cloth in it goes up to 79 or 80% and with it out it drops to 25. if I turn the fan off it will go down to 65-70. Any advice. I am getting my eggs on Tuesday????

I have suffered with this issue through 3 hatches. I am concerned about the temp difference from front to back...my LG foam bator also reads from 99-101. I read that being off one degree can kill the chicks. I wish there was a better description of what is a good range for temp and humidity. I am setting tomorrow, some very pricey eggs. My hatch rate has been about 30%. I have no idea what I am doing wrong.

I am lucky my eggs are less than 10$ per doz so if I fail it not the end of the world I will just have a very disappointed 4 year old boy. LOL I will try adding the vents never thought of that.
