So my chickens are molting and I noticed one of my girls had a very pale comb...is this normal when they molt? She's totally fine and herself. I'm getting nervous!!

Perfectly normal. My Speckled Sussex is thru her molt & her comb is just starting to red'n up again. My poor Barnvelders are just starting their molt & look pathetically pale & scruffy.

Oh good! Thanks! I've read that when they have pale combs that they're sick! Hoping that wasn't the case
A chicken during the molt is sick. Molting makes them feverish as well as sore, just like my Arthur pain and old injuries make's me ill tempered when the weather changes.Oh good! Thanks! I've read that when they have pale combs that they're sick! Hoping that wasn't the case
