Marans Insert - APA SOP

Black Copper Marans were recognized by the APA in April 2011 and the Wheaten variety in October of the same year. So you're right they aren't in the 2010 APA Standard of Perfection, but they are recognized by the APA and will be in the next version of the Standard. The Qualifying Meet for the White variety is slated for this coming Saturday, December 14th, in Shawnee, OK.

I thought it came with the 2010 edition currently for sale and would be included in the next printing of that edition. One of the Marans Social Media orgs may have it too.

You may be able to pick it up at an APA poultry show.

I bought my SOP just about a year ago and it did not come with the Marans insert.
 
Newly approved breeds and varieties are typically printed in the APA Quarterly and not provided as an insert with the Standard of Perfection. You can find more information about breed and variety standards here www.maranschickenclubusa.com/index.html
