We had three or four go broody last year. I let them sit on duds. I feel that one of these days I may want to hatch a few. And now that we have a drake…..handsome, fairly mellow boy.

i have a broody mallard but i wont let her sit on eggs right now and her egg are not fertile cause the male has not found out that his thing is made for mating not just for him to mount her and get off but i will let her sit at the end of nexted month

ALLOT of snow and has been a nasty cold winter.

We're starting to get eggs but no one is interested in brooding just trying to live through the frigid weather is on every ones mind right now, I don't know how ya'll deal with it further north, ya'll are some hardy folks is all I can say.
