Hi everyone! No feathery friends just yet, but wanted to thank you guys for the wonderful information and insights I have gathered from this community since I decided I wanted some chickens! Barnvelders are my object of my new found affection!

Thanks for the warm welcomes. My search is on. Kelsie, I actually have read every single post of the let's improve the breed thread after I decided on the Barnies. I probably have 60 hours research in. Mostly with BYC. I am hooked!
 
Well, I've done all my research to get started, I've got my brooder ready, the Barnvelder chicks are coming from a breeder in May, coop is being built and will be ready end of the month, and now all I have to do let us wait! Uggh! Glad I have BYC to keep me occupied!
