It's my Jumbo Pekin hen's baby picture. She is absolutely huge at 5 months old!



Shadow is so cute! At least you have an entirely enclosed pen with a roof, so she can still stretch her wings without you having to worry about her accidentally escaping. My Cayuga hen, Pansy is way to heavy to fly, lol.

My Pekin can fly even higher, so it is a good thing that the pen is enclosed!

Mine are splashing in their water buckets right now since the spring is frozen.

Only water bucket here too until tomorrow when I can turn the water back on. 2 whole days without a hose! I know all the people up north are laughing at me but it is the truth. We are fortunate!

This is Bonnie (with the tuft) and Clyde, along with Flo one of our pekins. Bonnie is definitely the ring leader of our six ducks.

They are nine weeks old and she/he is loud and bossy.

I have a Cayuga mix with a tuft too.

I have 19 Cayuga ducks (3 male 16 female) that I would not trade for the world. I also have 3 Khaki Campbells and 3 Blue Swedish that are wonderful but the Cayugas are just special in their own unique way. The adult female is my loudest quacker. The younger ones have something between a peep and a whistle going.

Do any of your cayugas whisper? They went from peeping to whispering and one of them sometimes whistles.
