Ok, this is gonna sound like a weird question from a guy who uses all kind of food preservation techniques... How do you wrap pumpkin bread to freeze it, and then how and how long does it take to thaw? I've never frozen any kind of bread other than sandwich bread and that didn't turn out well. That's why I like Debby's refrigerator bread (which btw, I used 1 1/2 loaves today and next time I'll cook covered for 45 minutes and uncovered for 15) as I can have fresh bread in less than two hours or so.
Hmmmm I only have four??? Oh, that's right, the chef had to make sure it was suitable prior to using it...Found a collection of Guinnes recipe links...I'm going to post the link here so I can find some of them again:

As Debby says, just wrap them in aluminum foil. I would not worry about thawing it out. Take a frozen loaf out, unwrap it far enough to slice a piece off. It will not freeze solid like an ice cube and you can slice it by using something like a chef's knife and just using pressure to push down until the knife is through the loaf. This isn't much help but when I would take a loaf of Banana Fruit bread to work with me, I would take it frozen along with a knife to cut it. One of my coworkers cussed me out because she used to love her banana bread hot out of the oven and buttered and I converted her to having to have it frozen.Ok, DW needs to take this to an open house at school... so, how would you thaw an entire loaf? Ok, for the taste test of the two recipes. Dead on Tie! DMC's recipe was darker (very little) but from a flavor test. Can't taste a difference between the two recipes. We're keeping everything with nuts for us as DW can't take nuts to school. But one of those frozen loaves is going to school for the parents.
