I'm am considering getting a full size roo and I don't know what to get I want a good looking breed that I sent afraid of getting into a fight with a predator

I don't know any breed of rooster that can stand up against serious chicken predators like large dogs, raccoons, foxes, coyotes, opossums, weasels, minks, large birds of prey, bobcats, etc. Over the years, myself and other chicken owners I know have not only lost chickens to all of these predators, but have lost lots a lot of different breeds of roosters as well. The best protection is predator proof coops and runs, or some well trained guard dogs.

We have we'll trained dogs and a fort nox of a chicken coop and run but we want that last line of protection
Actually, Iowa Blue roosters can fend off weasels and hawks quite well. They are great flock protectors!

The 'fighting' game bird breeds will generally offer the most aggressive protection, but they are still chickens and no match for most of the predators they will face...
