BYC Café

Good Morning,

Having tea/coffee now and sitting in the kitchen to get some warm from the cooking stove.

Inside the house now is 14C=57F, the skin on my face dried up and breathing in the cold air make my nose feel sore.Lucky non of my chickens are molting, my Wyandotte are very comfortable with this weather in their beautiful thick coats. It would be nice if they could lend me their coat just for a bit.😄

My neighbour used to have this big maple tree and in winter all its leaves turned red/orange so beautiful. Some of those beautiful leave blown over to my garden and I loved it. Then a few years back they cut down that gorgeous tree ....might be the roost gets in the plumping.

Have a wonderful spring day - lots of garden work and everything is blooming.

I had similar troubles in addition to severe dry eye that was extremely painful. The solution was a large humidifier kept next to my wood stove. The last 2 years I haven't had any problems with my eyes hurting.

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.
Finally a nice day is up on deck.
The grass in the fields where I run the dogs has gotten so high that I've had to put a bell on Piper so I know where she is. Yesterday I managed to lose Bella! She got herself turned around, couldn't see me and was clear on the other side of the field. She gave me a heart attack. I thought she'd died! She never ever stays away from me.

I accidentally locked Remi out of the coop last night. She was waiting for me on the table outside the front door. Thank goodness for the 2' roof overhangs and my electric poultry netting to keep her protected from rain and predators for the night.
