    Saving abandoned eggs......

I am a great believer in if I don't try they're going to die anyway, so what do I have to lose? Last Tuesday our baby momma became really listless, her wattle was almost white and she abandoned her 8 eggs. (She has since recovered with a little TLC) She was 16 days in. We don't have an incubator...

Broody hen left her eggs after one night

Hi! I had a broody hen so I gave her 7 eggs to sit on. She sat on them for one night and this morning it looks like she doesn’t want to be a momma anymore. I can’t get an incubator until tomorrow, do you think they will be okay for a night? And how should I store them if so? Thank you!!

She is still young and this is the...

My first hatched chick! (8/28/2018 4:30 am)

Thanks to someone who told me to put a wet washcloth into my incubator to keep the humidity high. My hen hatched out two of seven eggs and then abandoned the eggs so I put them in this incubator, since I felt I had nothing to lose. Another person told me that I can pick up an egg up to seven...
