    Rooster behavior in young chicks?

    When the chicks run up to each other and size each other up, is that indicative that those chicks are males? I have 5 two-week old chicks and only some of them seem to do that facing off behavior.

    What’s with these tail feathers??

    I’m pretty sure this 6 week old chick is a roo. I’ve noticed this little puff of feathers at the end of their tail that the other chicks don’t have. Does this have a name? Or a way to describe it?
