I purchased a baby chick Brown Leghorn. She is a late bloomer and has just laid her first egg. They are supposed to be white. The egg is a purple-tan with brown speckles. I have a feeling it’s a different breed.

These were supposed to be meat chickens. Instead the chicks turned into laying chooks of some type. I am not sure if they are all the same breed or not. The ladies are fabulous layers of dark to light brown eggs (pictured). Thanks for everyones imput!
