    Just hatched a baby chick !

    One of my Roosters a Sapphire Gem and one of my Prarie Bluebell hens got the job done and just hatched this little one ! Not sure if any else has cross bred these 2 but excited to see how she turns out ! I assume there’s a chance she will be an olive egger??

    Will baby chicks stay with mama?

    I have a coop that will contain my hens but not their chicks. I'm afraid they're going to slip through the welded wire fencing and run off. Right now they're sticking close to mama hen. Do I need to pull the chicks out and raise them separately or will they stick with mama until they are pullets?
