Hey all, chicken newbie here. I have two chicks that hatched at my daughters school, they were born april 2nd (we got to watch our mystery chick hatch) and are now 8 weeks. One I'm pretty confident is a black star/sex link pullet, the other is ???? Sassy.
Sass started all yellow/white, and a...
Hi all,
I’d love a second opinion on one of my chicks. I ordered a batch of pullets hatched on April 15, but my Black Australorp is looking very suspicious at just over 5 weeks old.
He/she has:
A noticeably larger, redder comb than the others
Wattles starting to develop already
Slower...
I have two silkies. One black and one white. I originally swore the black was a male based off of the stance it had always had but I’m not so sure. This white one is much smaller but the hair is different. It also has a much deeper cluck lol. My poor black one has pretty bad cross beak, but has...
After losing my previous flock to a hawk around three years ago I finally was able to get new chicks and a new coop. They’re supposed to be a Dominque and a Rhode Island Red and I hope they’re both girls or that only one is a boy as I only need one rooster
I got them around a week or so ago at...
Hello! We are new to having backyard chickens and very unsure about this particular chicken! It is a Sapphire Gem- around 10-11 weeks old! Unsure if it is a hen or roo? I tried to add multiple photos from multiple angles! Thank you so much in advance!
This little lady(hopefully) is my favorite of the bunch. She is 4 almost 5 weeks old. I am starting to fear that she might be a he just because the comb. What do you think?
Please ignore our under construction coop space.
Hello chicken people!
It’s too early to tell for sure, but take your guesses! Is my six week old porcelain duccle a hen or a roo?

Hi everyone! I am a new chicken mama and I’m hoping to get help sexing 6 of my chickens (3 silkies and 3 Easter eggers). I’m pretty sure I have at least one rooster, the lighter Easter eggers but would love everyone’s opinions!
All are just about 7-8 weeks old. Thanks!
Hello, I unexpectedly acquired some chicks. I believe they are at least 4 weeks old. I plan to ask the person who gave them to my mom the same question, I figured to ask here as well! I heard about wing sexing but couldn't really figure it out. If I could get input as to what breed they are and...
Just out of curiosity… What are we thinking these quackers will be?
We have 3 pekins as well, 2 females and 1 male just popped his curly tail feather yesterday!
Hi everyone, my first flock which consists of 4 Creme Leg Bars and 2 polish. Can you tell gender? I think the polish with white head feathers is a cockrel....what do you think?
I got this Light Brahma from the pullet bin at TSC, along with a Sapphire Gem. This Brahma is nearly double the size of the SG, but I wasn't concerned because I knew Brahmas were big. But now, at about 8.5 weeks, I'm seeing some redness in the comb, and already seeing wattle growth. Should I be...
I know atleast 2 of them are.. but being asked to post all of them.
no crowing, 11 weeks and 5 days old.
Note: the camera is making their combs look much more red than they are, especially on the black chickens. I tried to provide extra photos of those ones with less vibrancy.

Hello, I was sold a “Isabel Brahma Pullet” and wanted to confirm that she is female. From what I was told, she around 7-8 weeks old. I am not the best at determining gender from pea combs.
Thanks ❤️
So we know the gender of all of our chickens other than these two….
Agatha (White) was believed to be female but her comb and overall attitude makes me wonder
Lloyd (grey) was believed to be a male because he grew his comb out at the same time as Rip (I’ll add him at the bottom. Rip and...
Hello Peafowl friends.
The first time, we only had one peafowl chick and no experience.
It was very difficult to determine what it would be.
So we waited about three months, then the first colors would appear on the neck, and it would be easier to see what it was.
The second time, we had two...
I got all five from tractor joes.
The two black ones were the was out for sure pullets.
Checked wings, and vents. Only my second time but that screamed female…I think….
had a couple did angles of each bird.
#1 Lola
#2 Daisy

#5 Bambie
Peppercorn is a 4 week old sexed pullet from Meyer Hatchery. Her feather pattern suggests pullet (partridge on wings), but the comb seems red to me for how young she is, and she’s slow to feather which sometimes suggests rooster.
If anyone has experience with this breed/pattern, let me know if...
I know we all love the classic what gender is this post. And here I am to deliver.
I bought these what were supposed to be pullets back in the beginning of March .
I have them all labeled A - E
I’m getting a little better but wanted to double check with figuring this out.
My guess
