Is a deep layer of pine shavings on top of small landscaping stones a suitable bed for a chicken run?
Or..
Plain dirt under/over chicken wire?
Or small rocks over chicken wire?
Looking for advice for health of chicken and ease of cleaning. Thanks!

I have two 17 day old chicks
One of the chicks died in less than 5 minutes.
10 minutes early I heard the chicks Chirping very loud, so I checked and one chick was very aggressive.
