I got 2 popcorn polish from a lady and she said she wasn’t sure what they were but believed they were both hens. I cannot have roosters in my city so would need to rehome or send back. The one on the right in the photo of them beside one another I am thinking is a hen!
After some digging and...
A few weeks ago I treated my flock with ivermectin drops on their skin. A couple on the back of the neck, under wings and near vent. Today, I noticed my rooster still has mites? They are microscopic! I had to stare really hard to even tell they they were moving! Is it safe to treat him again...
Thanks to all your help yesterday, seems like we have an olive/easter egger rooster in our bunch. One of our other small bantams (sebright) looks like it’s comb is developing a lot quicker than the other two the same breed. Could that also mean it’s a rooster as well? It is too quick for me to...
I was outside and noticed some red on my roosters at thr base of one of the toes. The other toe on the other leg seems normal color. It doesnt seem to bother him and I don't see any injury but its impossible to get too close to him until bed time.
I can take a better picture later if need be...
Hello chicken lovers!
I love these birds but I was DUPED by ye-old Tractor Supply shortly after Hurricane Helene and ended up with some breeds I can't manage in my small flock, including a rooster that was supposed to be a pullet (begging others NOT to buy from TSC anymore! They're AWFUL!!!) I...
We bought four “hens”s this spring. Come to find out one is a rooster. We are not allowed to have roosters in the city limits and would love to find someone who needs a rooster. He is 4-5 months old, healthy, Columbian Wyandotte. We are located in the Denver metro are.
a couple months ago my mom got chickens. i was initially supportive of this and encouraged the purchase at the start. i liked feeding them when they were chicks, and when they were growing up. i also always liked taking walks in our backyard, but a couple days ago on the way to one of my walks...
My rooster broke his spur off recently and I didn't notice until he had already dirtied it up a bit!! He's not bleeding anymore but it seems like some dirt dried into his blood. What should I do? For now I'm going to give his feet a soak in warm water(I'm unsure if I should add Epsom salt since...
These are my barred rock chickens. They are about 13 weeks old. I’m beginning to think they are roosters now because of the shiny feathers and green ones starting on tails.
My wife and I are moving, and unfortunately our rooster can't come with us. We have already found homes for our hens, and we are still looking for a home for our rooster. He is a white silkie, not aggressive and easy with our hens. Can deliver in the Forks, WA region.
Okay so A lot y'all helped me with my favorite chicken but I have these other 6. I need to try and decide because next week the roosters have to go. Sorry the SLW hate me and scatter when I'm around. I'm pretty sure 1 and 2 are roos and have no idea with the others.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I live in Bakersfield and have 2 boys that have started crowing. Master Cheif is an Easter Egger and Eggroll is a Hamburg. I would love to trade them for a hen and/or assurance that they will not become chicken nuggets. They're around 2...
