Aw, that stinks.
Agh, friday I rode the SLOWEST lesson horse in the world. In a saddle that my butt sore.
Pretty much.
Though my instructor said she occasionally goes to an indoor arena a few times a winter, and that she'd be happy to take me with.
I hate that! What do you mean by slow?
Like, taking forever to get to the good stuff?
No, this was for a 4-H thingy. I go and ride with some other people at a stable. They just stuck me on a random quarter horse named Buddy - well, he's NOT my buddy at all. I get on him and apply regular leg pressure. No response. I do it again, HARDER. No response. I finally pop him with my legs very hard, he decides that maybe, he just might listen this time.
One time around the arena at a crawl, I was seething that this horse was not listening to my legs! On top of that the lady didn't want me collecting him. Weird. She handed me a whip and got him in a working trot, eventually I cantered, his canter was hard and bumpy. EUGH! He really needed collected.
The saddle did not fit my hips or something. My legs felt all wrong and I felt off balance! It was so strange feeling. THat evening I could barely walk my mid section hurt so bad.
