Actually, the reason is...


*Drumroll!* My chances of getting a horse of my own increase like 75% if I have a way to get to the barn in the winter!

I have everything else figured out... I can bike when there's no snow, since it's only like 10 miles or so, there and back.

Of course, this is only when a ride isn't available... Which is often.
