Bo, my lease horse, is also super duper bumpy, though part of the reason is that my seat is a bit off when I ride; I don't really move with her. I'm taking lessons for the first time in 3 years this Sunday, so I'm excited to fix that.

I love the trails, but the problem is, some horses don't always like to stop/stay at a slow pace when they're not closed in. That's why I miss the arena right now.

I'm kind of afraid to go any faster than a trot.

I love going fast in a car, but when it comes to riding horses......Sign me up for the scaredy-cat list.

I'm afraid I might not be sitting in the saddle right, and then maybe fall off and get hurt. I really don't want to ever fall off, but then I wouldn't be a real cowgirl, or so Billie says.

That, and I'm afraid that if I come upon a corner whilst going fast, I might not be able to round it fast enough. I'm deathly afraid of corners and turns after my segwaying accident, so when ever my Mom or Dad turns while driving, I tend to grip my seat and hold on for dear life.

Yeah, I'm kinda the same. I've fallen off multiple times, but that doesn't make me fearless at ALL.

I'm a huge scaredy cat on the trail, too... ATM, I'd prefer an arena.

I've never actually ridden on a trail. Okay, I have, but I didn't control anything as the horse I was riding knew exactly what to do and where to go.

) schooling now that I've been to a few shows. They're letting me know how rusty I am.

I just wish i could talk to him and ask him what's wrong. But in a way, I can. You know how I bring him to 4-H meetings? Well, one of my leaders and one of my friends told me they watch us and it's like we speak to each other and we have a mental connection. That's why i want to get an Arabian. For me, actions speak louder than words. I believe you can send good thoughts or vibes ( Not the choice of words i wanted but i couldn't think of anything else ) to a horse through your body.

Just between us here, I had a local farrier that came to do our thoroughbred mare. Well, she a little antsy and moving her feet around. He jabbed her right in the ribs with the rasp really hard! And she was pregnant! She hauled back on that fence and ripped up half of the concrete that the wooden post was set in outta the ground. Then, he asked if dad wanted him to help him fix it! He said no and the guy left. We have never used him again. Another farrier said that he threw rocks at her baby colt. Once, I was there and I was holding my mare's head still and stroking her and he told me to get away from her because I was distracting her, she was my horse! I loath him.

And he charged a lot of money!

GAAH! Thats awful. I love my farrier. He does a REALLY good job, although he is a little slow. He is very kind and always does his best for the horse, and his prices are fair.

I know! I'm so mad, so mad, so mad! He should never have done anything like that.

Well, just be lucky that you aren't as rusty as me. I've only been riding a few times, and I can barely saddle a saddle.

You'd think I'd be better at it, after watching Billie do it numerous times!

I know! I'm so mad, so mad, so mad! I just wanna punch his past owners! Gaah! They make me so mad i want to throw something! And the guy was really deceiving and didn't say a word about any of this, we heard it from people who know him.

to him i hope we find a great one for our donkey

I just don't know what to do! I'm not sure if I'm the person to work him through it either.

I should be a TON better than I am now... I'm just a huge wimp.
