Check craiglist for gaited horses, Pasos are really hard to find, so I would just shoot for a Walker or a Foxtrotter. And, of course, if you can't find a gaited horse, Quarter Horses aren't that bad.

well my mom and dad told me today if me and Diamond bond, since the lady just bought her to save her, they MIGHT (

Quarter horse, a palimo (SP) that is a female, she is 12 years old, she IS a rescue horse (or should of) who had a foal in april, she is still gaining weight, but with me riding her she would get muscles too, and i am also the only rider of her ,the owner sometimes ride her but i will be riding her about every week on sunday

Yeah, if that was done to her, then she is probably really sensitive and scared and you should try just clucking or kissing to get her forward and give gentle pulls on the reins. Try riding barefoot and just rubbing her with your heels instead of kicking with boots and see what she does. Also, abused horses do really well bareback.

That way, you can feel the horse and she can feel you too.

she does pretty well, from what i heard she did not get any food, in the middle of winter the first owners more worried about their hair or nails.

Yes, try to squeeze with your calves or do what HCCLK said instead of kicking. Gentle squeezes on the reins help her feel the pressure just as well, unless she's "bit-resistant".
