My first Christmas...


WITHOUT...



Presents.

By CHOICE.
And my February birthday, too.
Why, you ask?



Horse credit.

I'm also taking home lunch and raising money in other ways, too.

As my dad put it, "When the time comes, we'll take the opportunity."


It came up because I was talking about this gorgeous palomino gelding my lease family rescued. The leaser-outer was going to actually give him to me. *Jaw drop* And my parents were OKAY with that!
But, it turned out he had a nerve disease and couldn't be ridden without excruciating pain. The only options were to snip his nerves or not ride him. Being humane people, the lease family chose not to ride him, which I respected and agreed with. He's living with a family in MN as a pasture horse now. I was just thinking of that because of how my parents agreed right away. And, my dad said, that "If an opportunity presents itself, we'll take it." Knowing me, he should have realized, once hearing that, I'd make sure it happened.

My parents are still going to do stockings and stuff, knowing them, but I'm not asking for anything else!

And I'm HAPPY about it!

For my birthday (Which is in February), I'm just going to ask for a book or something.

I doubt even if I did that I'd get a horse.

Between my Brother and Sister's self defense class stuffz, and regular grocery shoping, my parent's would never be able to afford one. But hey, a girl can dream, can't she?

Trust me, I'm not expecting it to happen this winter.

I'm trying to save a lot of money... I only have a third of my goal saved up.
