I'm really leaning toward H/J, just because I've always wanted to do it and also because in our little western-oriented town, they only have Hunter/Jumper classes under English. I'm pretty much doing the same thing, but the foundation and basics.

Just a heads up: I've done Dressage before, and I find it really hard and sometimes kinda boring when you're just beginning and not good at it.

Hunter/Jumper riding is really fun though, of course. ;3

Nobody, nobody.


He is a Paint Quarter Horse(He's actually Paint the breed, paint the color, and he's a Foundation Quarter Horse). We were first told he was 10 months about a month ago, but last week when we got him the coggins said 8 months and the guy said he was 8 months and he looks like 8 months because he hasn't gotten his wolf teeth in yet so we are going with 8 months.

According to others my riding experience has been quite boring. But I've found the results more rewarding than a 'run over the jumps as fast as yall can' thing. I agree, it's very fun, but dressage is the finer points of riding and the hard part. It's hard and frustrating, I've cried and been mad, but I've kept at it and now I'm a decent rider. Keep trying.

But do realize, Hunter/Jumper riding can get pretty tricky. Form in your two-point is fairly important when you jump over fences, so is keeping momentum and counting strides before jumping.

I'm still trying to get used to half-point. *shakes head*
