Oh man, I got a bit burnt too...

But I rode today; on a Tennessee Walker. He was such a sweetie, very fun to ride too, although he was a bit barn sour.

And I have some good news. Molly can come back if I lease her, and two shows are coming up in the summer. \o3o/ One in a few weeks, a nice casual one, and one in August, a formal one.
Awesomeness.

I have exciting news! I'm getting a horse!

Er, eventually anyways. Long story short, my parents got quite a bit of money after they sold a lake house in Michigan. The money was divided amongst my Mom and her Sister (it was their uncles house). Some of my Mom's portion will be going towards a trip to Disney world, and some towards a horse for moi. When my Dad gets back from work in July, we're going to start looking at horses.I doubt I'll be getting a horse very soon, but all the same we're going to look. I'm so excited, I've even started looking at ads online.

*Weeee!!!* I seriously can't stop smiling at the thought that I might have my very own horse by next year!!! My Mom even wants to buy two so my horse isn't all alone in the pasture. I don't know what I'd do with two horses, since it'll already be time consuming and expensive to have one, so I'm looking into maybe a pony or miniature horse. (Miniature horses are probably the cutest darn things on this planet. :p I've seen some up close before while riding with a friend, oh my gosh, I just about died!) Would they make good pasture buddies?

Yes ma'am! My first lease horse, Jake, had a best friend named Tiny. He was a mini. They were inseparable! I'm so happy for you! What disciplines and breeds are you looking at?

I wish my parents understood. They're really stupid about things like this... They just don't get it. My mom's only thing is art, and we pay for all her expensive papers and pastels and easels and stuff. My dad doesn't really even have a hobby. I just get ticked, because they don't even try.

Awesome!! I'll talk to my Mom about getting a little Mini-horse.

I'm not looking at any specific breeds to be honest, I'm looking more into how old and what their temperament is. I need a horse that's well broken, and a trail sort of horse; you know, been their seen that, not easily spooked. I really just plan on pleasure riding, no shows or anything at the moment. Hopefully I can find a good horse to fit me.

I know how you feel. Neither of my parents are horse people. Well, not big horse people anyways, they like to ride.

Oh god, I'm so happy for you! I wish I could actually have a horse, but I think leasing will have to do for the summer and beyond. I'm too broke to actually afford a horse.

But either way, when I start to lease, the horse I'll ride will pretty much be my own because I'll be the only one riding her once/if she comes back to the stables.

So I guess I shouldn't whine too much about it.

I have to invite you all over though to come ride him/her. I've only got like, two friends who ride horses. One lives like, four hours away though.
