Now I really AM crying, and not for joy. Just found out that the mom of an old friend (one I haven't seen since September '09) has stage 4 cancer.

Why do bad things happen to good people?! I know the answer, but seriously, WHY? Anyway, they're having his surprise birthday party today, and I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally hope I can talk my mom into taking me.

This is awful.
