For my region it's like this. It really varies place to place in the U.S.

Up until summer here, it's usually 60 degrees Fahrenheit, rainy, and dark-ish. During the winter it's freezing and snowy. But the surrondings are beautiful, filled with trees, dappled in flowers, teeming with life, and very green. During the summer it can be fairly warm. You should look up weather, flora, and fauna in the Northwestern United States. It's very interesting.

Sounds pretty cool! What's the temperature in summer?

In my particular part of Australia there are plenty of rainforests. The only problem is that they're rainforests. It rains a fair bit. At the moment it's nice and sunny. It's midwinter. Our backyard has a lot of fruit trees and eucalypts. There are a lot of streams, snakes, goannas, bandicoots and padimelons.

Nix, that sounds epic! My garden's full of fruit trees, fruit trees, grass and dead grass. No eucalypts: you sound like you live in a great place!
