I would, as my yard isn't quite suited to build a paddock and arena in. But I don't think my parents trust me...It's just that I'm already in riding lessons but I feel like I'm ready for a horse of my own. Stables and corrals are everywhere and school has a riding club, even the 4-H looks promising. It tempts me so badly.
It sounds like you're ready. Tell them you have experience and would love to take your hobby further, but you'll be willing to listen to their guidelines, something along those lines.

I've hinted to them, but they've said it's too much of a responsibility and that my mom would end up caring for it.
I'll trying again though, I'm REALLY determined to get a horse of my own. I've already looked at adoption websites and other places. I'm also willing to purchase the horse with my own money (I'm going to be working a lot more), help pay the boarding fee, clean up after it, ride it everyday, make sure it's in good health, and what-not.
