Well then your dog is still only a puppy and needs to be taught right from wrong. You should try to train your dogs not to eat your chickens, and no, beating them won't work. (Don't worry, I should know

) Isn't there an add here on BYC that shows a way to teach your dog not to chase your chickens?

yes, i've been thinking that since they first attacked and killed Sarah and Tanaga a few months ago, but noooooooooooo my dad thinks they need to be able to run around. and chickens don't???!!!

me and my mom both want to pen up those dogs, but theres no arguing with my dad

i ain't in charge of my dogs, my sis and brother are. my sis is too busy training the aussie for agility competitions and my bro couldn't care less about my chickens. he wants them to die

Okay, now I get your situation. They should be able to run around, because, well, they're dogs. But I agree with you, they need to be penned up. Or, your chickens could be penned up.

my chickens were penned up they entire lives! they were here before the dogs, then they killed them

the dogs schould be penned up for a year now
