Both are good boys with no interest in attacking people. Red gets me with the fact he is really pretty and that he had excellent timing on breaking his toe at 4 weeks and being inside when a raccoon attacked:

But Kernel was very friendly as a chick and I was really hoping he was a girl, this picture is from about 2 weeks old "helping" me type:

and he continued to be very friendly for awhile after moving out, but he got a little less friendly as he got older and I over winter I got reattached when everyone was picking on him and I had to carry him out of the coop because he couldn't get out with out starting a spat with Red

, but I haven't had to do that sense they can know free-range easier (no snow) and the pecking order got rearranged.

Chapter one of my newest fanfic!


*Zim's POV*

*flashback*

"Class, we have a new hopeless appendage to the student body. Her name is Grazie, and she doesn't speak english, so don't try it."

"Hallo, mein Name ist Grazie, ich freue mich darauf, Sie kennen zu allen! Ach ja, und Frau Bitter ist ein horribe Lehrer und hat keine Ahnung, was ich sage, so HA! Toodles!"

"Yes, that was horrible, now take your seat. You will sit across from Zim." Mrs. Bitters pointed to the seat beside of mine, and the new girl-filth promptly sat down.

I took a closer look at her. She appeared... unnatural, for a human at least. It wasn't her blond hair or her skyblue eyes, or her black tee-shirt, or even her blue jeans that didn't seem right on her. She gave off an unhuman, unirken glow, if that was even possible... 'Might be worth studying her...' I thought to myself, 'Maybe I could use the cause of this glow in my NEXT EVIL PLAN'*end of flashback*

It had been a few weeks since the new girl-stink had moved in, not too far from my base.

As much as I had learned from my far-studies, she is a generally smart human, only speaks German around teachers, and she COULD prove useful...

*Grazie's POV*

Zim. Not too bad, though moronic, spies on me, and obviously Irken. Has a defective SIR unit. Has HORRIBLE disguise.
Dib. Ugly, annoying, and large-headed. Knows Zim's an Alien, but can't figure out that I DO speak English.
Gaz. Terrifying in her own, emo way.

I set down my journal, finished updating my hitlist of out-of-place people. My kind of people. Just then the bell rang, so I could leave Skool and get home to Ruhe.

I had easily noticed Zim spying on me, but I had decided not to say anything. I smiled as I heard him fumble when he tried to follow me home.

*Third-Person POV*

A girl walked into her house. She sighed. A black little dog slunk up to her uncharacteristically.

"Hey there Ruhe, I'm back from Earth Skool. Did you make any new friends?" she patted the dog's head.

Surprisingly it spoke up. "Yes, Master Grazie, I met a green mongoose dog who lives down the street at the Cul-De-Sac!"

Grazie smiled. "That's great! You can take off your disguise now, if you want. I KNOW I do."

Grazie's blond hair, fourth and fifth fingers, black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black boots faded away. hen there was a short FLASH! and it faded to reveal a red dress that tapered to her knees, antenna, spiked gloves, blackish heels, and green skin. Her tiny red glasses stayed the same, but now her eyes were completely skyblue. On her back, she wore an Irken PAK.
