Thanks. I just hope we get the Skype my Daddy was talking about. Although, that would require HER having Skype too.. Well, I suppose thats where phones and e-mails come in.

Skype? Nu-uh. Get back to the basics!
You know what really helped when my friend moved away? We wrote letters back and forth for about a year before we got emails. It really helped, looking forward to her letters, and seeing what was going on in her life. With a letter, you have a whole lot more to talk about because you only write maybe once a week, instead of talking every day when you could just run out of things to say and it gets awkward.

That might not be the case for you, but just my experiences. We always had a ton to say in writing.

letters? what are you from 1867?! thats tooooo old school! heck, sometimes i wait months for a reply with an email. plus letters cost money to send

No, I'm not from 1867, I wasn't BORN until 1996.
For your information, we'd write each other once a week, with modern vehicles letters get places awfully fast. It wasn't like we were on the other side of the world. Of course, when I moved to Australia, we started emailing because overseas posting costs a heap, while in Brit stamps cost 50p for ten.

That reminds me, whenever my friend and I talk, we always, ALWAYS, like talk for a moment, then we stop and have this akward moment of silence.

We would do that then laugh, then we would have an akward moment of silence, then laugh again! I'm going to miss having our odd, funny conversations.

Yeah, we'll do letters also.

Awkward silences are funny when you're talking face to face. I find it that way too. You just end up cracking up and having a great time....
Over the internet, not so much. Awkward silences really DO become awkward.

Anyhow, not to discourage you or anything, you guys sound like you have a great bond going. Good luck with surviving.

Yeah, we do. It'll be hard, not seeing her. I don't want our bond to break.
