If it was something that exotic and gross, (you DID say it was gross, right?) I'd have taken one bite and ran to the garbage can. If it's something normalish that I happen to not like, I'll eat it anyway, but if it's something bizarre I don't.

It did have this faint taste of pigs' foot, but then again, it isn't as exotic as frog's legs or tomato-sauced snails and not nearly as gross as peanuts, and yes it was gross.

you mean you've never tasted it?

They sell those pig hocks at the supermarket and one boils them up with some spices!

It's a common and simple enough dish around this area.
