Completely oblivious to the burning apartment across the city, she parked her car. She hesitated, hoping out of it. Police cars still swarmed the building, yet it wasn't as bad as the other days. News crews surrounded people who lived in the apartments. Hoping that she wasn't caught, Adelaide locked her car and slipped into the building. Climbing up a flight of stairs, she went to her apartment door. Finding the keys to it, she opened the door, rushing inside and slamming the door behind her.
