*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

Nora followed him into the house and headed for the kitchen to see if she could find any food. As she searched through the cabinets she found some rice, canned beans, and a few cans the labels had worm off on as well as a small bag of jerked meat. She dumped all the food she found on the small dining table and checked the rest of the cabinets.

She called Gjoran in to the kitchen to see her find. "Hey I found some food, not much but its something! Also found a flashlight and some batteries, might come in handy. I'm going to check the bedrooms for any useable winter gear."

Nora looked through the clothes in the closet of the bedroom, most were warm weather clothes, she did find a men's flannel shirt and a handful of socks that looked decent. She also found a small backpack that she loaded the clothes into for easier carrying. She grabbed the two thickest blankets she could find and then headed back for the kitchen.

Gjoran loaded the gun and set it on the table carefully, grinning as he saw what she had found. He smiled, before noting "It's like a treasure chest!" He eyed the gun, and told Nora excitedly "I'll teach you how to shoot if you want, it's not hard." He added sheepishly "If you don't how to already." He looked out the window, questioning. Should they inside, where it was warmer, or should they venture back to the cave? The house seemed like a death trap, unwanted visitors might show up with malign intentions.

Feeling more alive by the minute, Janette hesitantly pushed herself up onto her knees, then stood, a little shakily. She watched the cloud of her breath in the frozen air for a moment before turning around slowly, searching for any signs of movement. Stillness and death, rather than movement and life, caught her eye immediately. There were blocks of ice in the near vicinity and from what she could tell, bodies encapsulated in them. She gasped softly as she realized that she, too, had been in a block of ice, but unlike these poor people, she was free and breathing. She took a step closer to one to examine it. The face of the figure inside was hardly identifiable no matter how hard she looked at it. Other blocks surrounding were no easier to identify.

(Open)
Janette stumbled backward from a block containing the short figure of a kid, the first one she had spotted so far. A shadow of worry crossed her face as she hurried from the spot, arms wrapped tight around herself for warmth. She was brimming with questions but no one to tell them to. No one, as of yet. She had spotted a few melted remains of ice blocks, like the one she had come from, and that gave her a little hope that there were others who were alive.

(Ehhh still open XD
@Run Wild are you still alive here? :p )

"There wasn't much in the way of warm clothes in this house sadly, but I figured these blankets will at least help at night. Flashlight and a couple batteries, I still need to look through the bathroom I am hoping to maybe find some medical supplies, unless you have already checked it out?" Nora replied as she placed the things on the table next to the food. She eyed the gun for a moment wondering if she should take him up on the offer to teach her how to use it. "My dad taught me how to use a rifle but pistols are never something I learned how to use. Probably best if you show me how, incase they are very different."

Gjoran shook his head, and said "No, I haven't checked the bathroom. Let's go together." As they walked, Gjoran noted "We shouldn't sleep here even though it warmer. It's an obvious looking spot for people who might be desperate to survive and try to kill us. We can explore the cave now that we have the flashlight, and hopefully we can find a hidden crevice warmer than the open." He opened the bathroom vanity, only finding makeup and toothpaste. He joked "I don't want any. You want some?"

"Yeah I had the same thought about staying here, probably not the safest idea. I don't mind that cave to be honest, and now that we have some blankets the floor won't be so hard." Nora replied as she followed him into the bathroom. She wondered absently if there would be any toilet paper, that was something she hadn't considered important but would be much appreciated comfort. She saw the makeup and toothpaste in the vanity and he joked about whether she wanted some. She picked up the toothpaste and gave him a shocked look, "what you don't want minty fresh breath?" Nora teased but she put it back and shook her head, there was not much point to make up anymore. Not like she had a hot date or anything.
