*°Hell as White as Snow°* (A Role Play)

Aya looked to Madeleine, confused.
"I'm sorry, but I don't understand much of what you are saying." Aya told Madeleine, having a few guesses but not wanting to be incorrect.
"Les animaux have been discovered from thousands of years ago, conservés in rock or sand. They are preserved in ice sometimes, non?" Madeleine repeated her question.

Aya got the gist of what she was saying and nodded.
"Yes, that is true. But besides plant life, I don't believe anyone has found anything frozen in ice that was alive before. It is usually only preserved, not living."

(I'm pretty busy, so I'm going to wait to reply to Devine so I can actually think about it. )

"But how can that be?" Dierk questioned suspiciously. "I have never been to America in my life. This can't be..." Dierk looked around at the land. It was covered in snow, revealing no details about where they really were.
"Do you know what's going on, Ma'am? Anything?"

(OK ;) )
"I don't know." Jade replied honestly. "I don't remember traveling to Germany," she paused with the realization that she couldn't remember anything before waking up in this place. Then her ring rubbed against her dry skin, bringing a distant memory to life. "Paxton." She hardly breathed. "Where's Paxton?!" She cried, almost demanding an answer as she watched the man with green eyes round with worry.

"Mais, we are alive, et we were in ice," Madeleine argued her point, as much as the idea of it scared her.

Dierk went wide eyed when she demanded to know where a man named Paxton was. Then, a surge of guilt fell over him. Years of people shouting at him, demanding to know where their child or husband was, him being unable to answer; it was all burned into his brain forever. He worried that this girl wanted the same thing, something he couldn't give back.

"I...I don't know a man named Paxton. I'm sorry." Dierk told her, sounding sincere with apology. He hoped she wouldn't suddenly point to him as guilty.

Aya sighed, not knowing how to answer this.
"Well, yes, but it is impossible we could have stayed preserved for so long. Even if we were technically kept alive, you shouldn't be able to live anymore if you're really that old. Your body would begin to shut down once you came out of this hibernation."

"Oui, but if it is 3000 as you say, then I have defied such logic, for here I am." Madeleine realized she may be repeating herself here, but the fact remained that if she had indeed been preserved, she was alive now and felt fine, other than the biting cold.

"Are you...Are you sure you weren't alive in the 3000's instead? Are you sure you're thinking clearly?" Aya asked sternly, looking Madeleine in the eyes.

Madeleine gave her a look of indignation. "I know what year I moved to America in!" She replied. "I know what year I was born. I know my name, and the names of my famil—my daughter!" She stopped in her tracks and looked around them frantically.

"Your daugh-You have a daughter?" Aya asked worriedly. "We should probably find her. Do you want me to help you look?" Aya glanced around at the ice, "We certainly have time."
