¿Cool brooding? (No electricity - hot water based)

Hi and welcome to BYC. I have never heard of the technique you mention. This is an alternative for brooding without electricity - http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1133855/a-wool-hen-creating-one-today. I hastily made one during a power outage and it worked ok.

How old is it where you plan to brood chicks?

Thanks to all of you!!! From what Ive investigated "Cool Brooding" is simulating the mother hen by puting a hot water filled bottle in the chicks box. As is a not very well known I wanted to ask for any experience that you had. Thanks again
