Lion gazed at the deer with his dark amber eyes, targeting its heart. It was in prime position. He leapt, colliding with it perfectly. His claws pierced its hide and he quickly tore its neck. It died a quick, painful death.
Lion tore off the antlers with a few strong bites and rakes of his razor claws. It was not a very big rack, but Lion was always proud of any male deer he managed to land. He quickly buried the antlers and dragged the deer back to camp.
